PresenceLearning, the leader in online special education, was ranked 146th overall – and third in the education category – on Inc. Magazine’s 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000 list, which is an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The company also ranked as the ninth fastest growing firm in the Bay Area and sixth fastest growing in San Francisco.
PresenceLearning was chosen based on its significant three-year sales growth of 2,634%.The 2014 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved three-year sales growth of 516%. Inc. 500|5000 Methodology
The 2014 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2010 to 2013. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2010. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2013. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2010 is $100,000; the minimum for 2013 is $2 million.
