Blackbird Health

Founded in 2014, Blackbird Health is a hybrid (in-person and virtual) pediatric behavioral health provider treating patients 2 through 26 (41% of patients age 10 or under) for ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, and related conditions through psychiatric evaluation, therapy, and medication management, all paid for by commercial insurance plans.

Untreated pediatric behavioral health conditions (ADHD, anxiety, depression) are strongly associated with school disengagement and downstream academic harm, whose effects can compound if left untreated, leading to negative long-term economic outcomes. Blackbird is at the forefront of providing effective care to children with behavioral health conditions through an innovative “Understand-first” care platform, rather than the traditional trial-and-error diagnoses model.

The Company employs over 200 clinicians across five provider typers and has a wait time of under seven days for a first visit. Blackbird has served more than 13,000 patients to date in the Mid-Atlantic area and also provides parent coaching and school support.
