Stacey Berner, M.D.

CEO, SurgCenter

Dr. Berner is CEO and managing partner of SurgCenter Development, a highly successful Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) development company working to revolutionize patient care by partnering with surgeons and creating free standing ASC’s. He is an experienced, Board Certified, orthopedic hand surgeon of more than 18 years, with a passion for creating highly efficient, quality-of-life-enhancing businesses with doctors, for the most positive patient outcomes.


Dr. Berner received a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with honors from Binghamton University. During his junior year at Binghamton, he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. As a third-year medical, student Berner was inducted into Alpha Omega Honor Society. He also completed his residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and completed a fellowship in hand and microsurgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Dr. Berner went on to further his education by receiving an MBA from Haslam School of Business at the University of Tennessee.


Dr Berner currently serves as a Board Member and Committee Chair for organizations with primary focus on education and improving the lives of young people. His primary philanthropic interests are addressing inequalities in access to education, housing, and nutrition.
