Jack is a Co-Founder and General Partner of Novak Biddle Venture Partners, a Bethesda-based venture capital firm founded in 1996. Jack currently serves on the Boards of Vision Chain (Chairman), CorasWorks (Chairman), Triumfant, eMinor, Digital Sports, ObjectVideo, Ztar Mobile, Starfish Retention Solutions, Appian Corporation and CivicUS. Prior to Novak Biddle, Jack was President and CEO of InterCAP, a venture-backed computer software company, Senior Associate and Partner at Vanguard Atlantic, Ltd., a merchant banking group focused on M&A advisory and control investments in software companies, IT Industry Generalist at the Gartner Group, focused on Telecommunications Technology, and began his career at Business Development Partners, an early stage venture capital partnership in Austin, TX. Jack is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship for the U.S. Department of Commerce and also advises the Department of Defense on Technology and Innovation. Jack is on the Board of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra where he has served as Vice Chairman, and on their Finance and Executive Committees, and is a Trustee, serving as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair, of the Sibley Memorial Hospital Foundation. Jack received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Tom is President of Cove Street Partners, Inc., a Washington, DC-based boutique advisory firm specializing in digital media and online advertising, a Venture Partner at Blue Run Ventures and a board member and advisor at several leading digital media companies. Previously, Tom led strategy and corporate development for AOL's (NYSE: TWX) ad network businesses, where he played a major role in the transformation of AOL into a leading, diversified advertising business through his leadership in over $1 billion in AOL ad network acquisitions. Prior to AOL, Tom served as President and CEO of Lightningcast, Inc., a leading video ad management platform and ad network, acquired by AOL in 2006, working with customers that included AOL, Comcast, Disney/ABC, Microsoft, Scripps, A&E, MTV, MLB, NBA, Reuters, Hulu, Warner Bros. and many others. In 2000, Tom founded Internet and mobile electronic messaging company Backwire, Inc. which was acquired by Leap Wireless (Nasdaq: LEAP) in 2001. Prior to founding Backwire, Tom was a partner at venture firm Venturehouse Group and before that President of AOL Select. Prior to entering digital media, Tom practiced corporate and securities law at Dechert LLP.

David is a Co-Founder and Partner of Camden Partners, a Baltimore-based private equity firm founded in 1995. He has over 24 years of investment experience and focuses on investments in the business and financial services and education sectors. Matt is a Co-Founder and Managing Director of Red Abbey Venture Partners, a Baltimore-based life sciences firm founded in 2004. He has more than 18 years of private equity and investment banking experience and focuses on investments in biotechnology and medical devices. He is currently a Board Director of Arginetix and a board observer at Advanced BioHealing and Alba Therapeutics Corp. and, prior to its IPO, at Sirtris Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Red Abbey, Matt was a Managing Director as Head of the Life Sciences Group in investment banking at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. Over a career of more than ten years at Legg Mason, Matt worked on a wide variety of investment banking transactions for a well-diversified group of clients. Matt’s prior work experience includes positions at Raymond James & Associates, Inc. (investment banking), Southeast Bank, N.A., IBM Corporation and General Motors Corporation. For eight years, Matt was a member of the United States Air National Guard (Ohio and Florida).
